About

“How are you different?”

This question is one I’ve heard hundreds of times! The answer is a simple one: I use my extensive education to do whatever it takes to get you to a better place, physically and mentally!

My business has been built upon the premise that there are entirely too many people in constant, chronic pain; and this is not acceptable.

I work with people who have been told…

“There is nothing that can be done for you.”

“Take this or that prescription drug.”

“Go SEE someone, because the pain is all in your head.”

“Go to a pain management program, so you can deal with your pain.”

“Come and see me for 36 visits, and I think we can fix you right up!”

“If I can’t help you, nobody can.”

“There must be something wrong with you.”

“You’re faking your pain.”

“Why are you so depressed?”

“Just try to forget about it, and it will go away.”

Sound familiar?

For all of you who have ever heard your doctor, therapist, family member, or ‘friend’ say anything like that, listen up.

Your pain is real. Your pain, however, IS NOT THE PROBLEM! Your pain is simply the method your body uses to tell you that something is wrong.

Something needs to be done to correct the situation.

Medical approach is that pain should be treated.

The PROBLEM is that the medical community today thinks or acts like pain IS the problem. Because of that there have been untold numbers of pain medications developed to ease your pain.

Doctors will prescribe the magic trifecta… pain meds, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxers to reduce pain. There are countless meds for migraines, cluster headaches, stress headaches, tension headaches, low back pain, joint pain, and the list goes on and on.

Pain management clinics operate with the intent to help you “manage” your pain.

Imagine that! MANAGING your pain!

Surgeons routinely clip nerves to reduce pain; replace joints to reduce pain; perform back surgeries to reduce pain; perform carpal tunnel surgery to reduce pain; remove calcium deposits and bone spurs to reduce pain; shave off bone in joints to reduce pain; perform oral surgery to realign jaws to reduce pain; and if all else fails, they will give you the ever-popular steroid injection to reduce pain.

But sometimes, the pain remains.

How many of you have tried one or more of these medical treatments… and the pain is still there?

The pain, in many cases, is even more severe than before; but now they are no longer the healers, they are the excuse makers. It can’t be them that failed – it must be you.

Better to eliminate the cause of pain.

What I know is that it has never been my goal to manage or reduce pain. My goal has been TO ELIMINATE THE UNDERLYING CAUSES OF THE PAIN. When you do that, the pain is not reduced; IT’S GONE.

What the medical community has forgotten is that it can’t heal your body. If given the proper environment, your body has an almost infinite capacity to HEAL ITSELF.

Just so we’re clear, the ‘proper environment’ rarely includes pharmaceutical drugs or surgery.

Pain is symptomatic of the underlying problem.

What would you do if while driving your ‘check engine’ light came on? Today’s standard medical procedure would be for you to climb out of your car, pop the hood, find the wire feeding the offending light, and clip the wire.

Problem solved? Of course not! Your engine light is not the problem, just as your pain is not the problem. It is a symptom of a problem…THAT CAN BE CORRECTED.
